Zsófia Bódi
Lyric Soprano
About Me
As a professional singer and music therapist I have built my career through diverse international experiences in Hungary, Austria, and Germany. Over the years, I have appeared in numerous solo and ensemble projects, with a particular focus on oratorio, song recitals, interdisciplinary and contemporary music performances. In addition to my singing career, I work as a teacher and music therapist. My work frequently brings me to hungarian, austrian, and german stages. Since March 2025, I have been living and working in Barcelona, using it as a base for my musical projects across Europe.
My repertoire includes next to the classical soprano roles in works by both contemporary hungarian and international composers, allowing me to explore new artistic dimensions. Collaborating as a soloist and chamber musician, I have worked under the baton of esteemed conductors such as Iván Fischer, Tamás Vásáry, and Gregory Vajda, as well as internationally renowned maestros Kobayashi Ken-Ichiro, René Jacobs, Helmuth Rilling, and Carlo Montanaro.
One of the most fulfilling aspects of my artistic journey is singing in high-level ensembles and co-creating unique musical experiences with other dedicated musicians. In my artistic practice, I aim not only to present refined musical articulation but also to express emotional depth and the uplifting essence of human connection. I believe that music, as a universal language, has the power to foster empathy, strengthen communities, and offer moments of inner freedom. It is a joy and honor to contribute to this through my voice.

K.POP
K.POP – the Kő-Papír-Olló (Rock-Paper-Scissors) Project was founded by three vocal performance artists: Bernadett Nagy, Sára Dezső, and Zsófia Bódi—trained singers who firmly believe that so-called “serious” music resonates much more deeply with the modern soul than commonly assumed.
They choose unconventional venues for their performances and create an atmosphere where the usual barriers between performers and audience dissolve, allowing genuine connection to emerge. Their collaboration began many years ago, and they have performed numerous concerts across Hungary.
During the pandemic, they produced a creative video series to defy the challenges of isolation and disconnection, bringing unique pieces from their repertoire to their audience. Through their YouTube channel, anyone can experience these performances, which include Bartók's two- and three-part pieces sung in unusual settings and interpretations.
Their programs are built around the works of Béla Bartók, enriched with music from various eras and vocal improvisation. They also support audience engagement through informal conversations and opportunities for co-creation.
